What does PTF stand for?
These three letters stand for one of the most important organizations here at Zion Christian Academy. The ZCA Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) supports and serves our school through parent involvement. The PTF is an organization of volunteers whose primary goal is to foster fellowship and a partnership between parents, students and faculty here at ZCA.
Another key PTF function is that of fundraising. The PTF successfully raises significant funds throughout the year in order to help meet both faculty and general school needs. Just a few of the yearly events sponsored and organized by the PTF include:
- Back to School Bash
- Fall Festival
- Boosterthon Fun Run
- Teacher Appreciation Week
- Annual Spring Auction/Dinner
Every parent with a child at ZCA is automatically a member of the Parent Teacher Fellowship and is welcome to join our monthly meetings. These meetings are typically held on the first Friday of every month at 8:10 a.m., immediately following morning drop-off. The PTF also holds periodic evening meetings on Thursdays at 6:00 p.m. to enable parents who aren't able to attend morning meetings to participate.
The PTF welcomes everyone – whether you are a parent who wants to chair a committee, help out at a bake sale, create posters or set up at an event – there is a place for you within the Parent Teacher Fellowship that will fit with both your skills and your schedule.
