Extracurricular Opportunities

In addition to the academically challenging curriculum offered here at Zion Christian Academy, students are also encouraged to take part in the wide range extracurricular opportunities we offer throughout the entire school year.

We encourage students to begin participating in extracurricular activities at an early age.  In the lower school, we have runners in cross-country, a spirit squad that leads cheers at all home football games and an intramural basketball program. Our fifth graders are also given the opportunity to join the band or choir.

Middle school students can take part in a number of activities designed to enrich their overall experience here at ZCA.  A few of the opportunities available to our sixth, seventh and eighth graders include:  playing instrumental music in our band, singing in our choir, volunteering their time with H2O or taking an active role in student government as a member of Student Council.

ZCA high schoolers are our most active extracurricular participants.  In fact, 90% of our current high school students take part in at least one afterschool activity.

Students will surely find a club or group that appeals to their interests, whether it is music, science, art, drama, student government or the service of others.

Zion also offers an extensive roster of summer enrichment camps that include programs in:
Visual arts

Middle School girls (Grades 6-8) have the opportunity to participate in H20, an extracurricular club that focuses on service to others in the community.

Here, the girls are creating flower arrangements to take to a local retirement community.
