Athletics

Stadium 597

Do you not know that in a race all runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore, I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.

Our athletic program at Zion Christian Academy exists to enhance a student athlete’s overall educational experience and to impact the Kingdom.  Our goal is to develop the God-given athletic gifts and talents possessed by each student so that they will achieve the most success possible when participating in games or athletic competitions.  Our athletic department strives to be the highest quality program in the area.

ZCA is committed to having qualified, dedicated, Christian men and women coaching and leading our teams.  Our interior and exterior facilities are among the best and newest in the area.

Our commitment to providing the best possible athletic experience for your son or daughter will be evident to you when you visit our campus.

The overall goal of our program is not just to win championships – it’s also to make champions of each and every student athlete that participates in our program.

Athletic competition provides one of the best venues for students to learn important lessons in leadership, teamwork, self-sacrifice, respect and discipline.  These type of character-building exercises are the components that complete the educational process.

As Christians, our aim is to emulate Christ in everything that we do and we encourage our student athletes to be IMPACT players.  Our goal is that they will have a positive impact on their world by being good examples of Christian sportsmanship in the following ways:

Our high school athletic department is a member of Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA).  ZCA is a Division II, Class A school.

We believe that athletics are an integral and important part of the Eagle experience for the entire school community, not just for the players themselves.  Our dream is that athletics will be a catalyst for revival in the hearts of everyone here at ZCA.

Our athletic program brings Zion together -- it fosters a strong sense of school pride and allows the entire student body to share in the excitement of our collective accomplishments.
